is now accepting applications for a full-time
Drinking Water Plant Operator
for the Burnside Municipal Water Works
JOB DESCRIPTION: Successful applicant under supervision, flushes hydrants, keeps water plant premises in a clean, neat and safe condition; assists in the maintenance and repair/replacement of water systems equipment and machinery, including keeping the pumps oiled; assists in inspection and inventory of water systems equipment and maintenance; obtains water samples; maintains vehicle(s) in good operating order.
REQUIREMENTS include, but are not limited to: on-the-job experience, Class IIA operator license, college/graduate level courses or degrees in fields relevant to water system operations or equivalent training. Applicant must be able to complete the following: Pre-employment medical physical examination by a physician, drug screen, and a rigorous background examination.
PAY AND BENEFITS Pay scale for the position is up to $37,130.00, based on experience of applicant. Benefits include vacations, paid holidays, sick leave, as well as dental insurance for employee, life insurance for employee and family health insurance coverage.
